Yaad-e-Raftagaan -Sir Ross Masud - Maulana Syed Sulaimn Nadvi

I read mostly religious write-ups from Maulana Syed Sulaima Nadvi, like Seeratun Nabi, Seerat-e-Ayesha, Khutabat-e-Madras which are definitely among the masterpiece on the subject. But his anecdotes about his teacher in Hayat-e-Shibli and his friends and contemporaries in Yaad-e-Raftagaan are also worth reading.

Maulana Syed Sulaimn Nadvi was an honorary Aligarian who was awarded Honorary D.Lit by AMU Aligarh.
Maulana Syed Sulaimn Nadvi, Founding Director of Darul Musannefin Shibli Academy had close association with Aligarh Muslim University and had served in AMU Court. It is an honor for Aligarh Muslim University that the First Ph.D. on Maulana Syed Sulaimn Nadvi was done by an AMU Student and present faculty Dr. Mohd Hashim of Dept Urdu AMU Aligarh.

Here is Maulana Syed Sulaimn Nadvi's anecdotes about his friend Sir Syed Ross Masud on his death.

Re:Yaad-e-Raftagaan -Sir Ross Masud - Maulana Syed Sulaimn Nadvi

Dear Afzal Usmani,
i read the obituary written by Maulana Syed Sulaimn Nadvi on Ross Masood. I liked particulary the part describing how Ross Masood was forced to visit his strained friend's residence because of the freindship of Maulan Nadvi. This speaks of the human values of highest order and exhibits how manganimous and large hearted was the former Vice Chancellor of AMU, Ross Masood. May God place marhoom in Jannatul Firdaus. Amen.
